Well known for her detailed paintings of animals in their natural habitat. Val works from sketches and photos taken in the wild and wildlife reserves .
She has concentrated her natural ability and love of the subject on British Wildlife.
She works from nature when ever possible, spending time to watch and sketch in the wild, and at private breeding and rescue centres.
Valerie finishes her paintings in her studio at home.
Through her painting she does a great deal to support nature conservation.

Drawing and Painting Animals
Thursday March 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th
Saturday March 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st
from 10am - 4pm
Valerie is a well-known artist of flora and fauna. An enthusiastic teacher she holds small and friendly day classes which are a regular feature of The Gallery at Bevere year. These courses are designed to help the keen but hesitant student to get started with the basics of watercolour and drawing and also for those who have some knowledge of the basics and would like to improve their skills.
A Message from Val
"This March I am concentrating my classes on drawing and painting animals, in particular fur detail. The classes are small and friendly, a maximum of six students of all ages. During the day I will demonstrate my techniques besides offering my help and advice on your chosen subject. I would be grateful if you could bring your own materials with you, but I will have spare paper etc available. I can send you a list of materials to buy if you are a beginner. Liquid refreshment is available during the day with a break for lunch. Please bring a packed lunch with you. During the summer I hope to run a couple of weekend courses details will be available later"
