ArtTraderUK Ordering Information

The following should answer the most commonly asked questions about ordering online. If your query is not satisfied here then please send details of your query to: ordering@arttraderuk.com or call us on +44 (0)1229 480835, where we will be happy to assist you.

Buying Artwork and Object d'Art

Clicking on the "Order Original", "Order Limited Edition" or "Order Object d'Art" link will add the selected item to your shopping cart. You can add or remove as many items as you wish to your shopping cart. For Limited Edition Prints you can select the edition number that you desire from the drop-down list.

Your Shopping Cart

Your Shopping Cart lists the items that you have currently selected to buy, and the total price of the goods. You can add or remove as many items as you wish to your shopping cart. For Limited Edition Prints you can select the edition number that you desire from the drop-down list. If you are signed in then your Shopping Cart will be retained for 2 days, else it will be retained just for this visit of the website.

Checking Out

To place your order you should click on the "Proceed to Checkout" icon (bottom-right corner of site). Here we collect your contact details, a delivery address and an optional invoice address (if different to your delivery address). We have a very strong Privacy Policy preventing the your personal information from any use apart from to process your order. Please read our Privacy Policy for further details.

Secure Online Ordering

Your information is sent to our secure server using SSL 128-bit (high) encryption technology. Your information is only accessible to the seller of the artwork, and only that seller, via password protected, secure SSL-encrypted access. Your information is NEVER transmitted via email as this is not a secure channel. Your order is placed the moment that you select the "Place Your Order" button.

International Orders

Prices quoted on the website include Postage & Packaging in the United Kingdom (unless otherwise stated). Delivery outside the United Kingdom will usually require an additional charge, including extra taxes on entry to some countries. International clients will be contacted directly by the seller as soon as they place their order to arrange this fee.

Payment

Once your order has been placed you may make payment by one of several methods:

  • Pay Seller directly - several associate sellers have their own secure online credit card payment schemes. These will be offered to you, if appropriate, when you make your payment
  • Bank Transfer - a direct payment into the Art Trader bank account. This is the easiest and preferred method for those that can use online banking facilities
  • Cheque or Postal Order - sent to us via the post therefore obviously slower
  • NoChex Secure Online Payment - an email payment system suitable for lower priced orders (under £300)
  • PayPal Secure Online Payment - a payment system suitable for higher priced orders (with Credit Card facilities)
Both secure online payment schemes are very popular and highly-trusted in the industry.

Tracking Progress of Your Order

You can track the progress of your order at any time by signing into your account on the website. Firstly select "Sign In" (bottom left of website), then select "Your Orders". Here you can see when your order was placed, when payment was received (or payment options if we have not yet received your payment, and also when your order was shipped. If you have any queries about your order please contact us and we will be happy to help you (contact details are given at the top of this page).

Shipping & Insurance

Delivery generally takes between 2 - 10 business days to all world destinations, typically using Parcelforce International Datapost. We stress to all sellers that packaging should be to a very high standard and as safely as possible to avoid any damage. In some cases glass is removed before shipping larger watercolours or pastels for safety.

Guarantee & Returns Policy

Your satisfaction with any purchase from ArtTraderUK  is 100% guaranteed. However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase or your shipment arrives damaged, then please notify the seller immediately describing your problem. A full refund will be arranged if the goods are returned to the seller undamaged within 2 weeks. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Cancellation of Your Order

In accordance with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days of the goods being received. You must advise the seller by email or letter of your wish to cancel and return the goods to them, in saleable condition, at your expense. Following receipt of the returned undamaged goods, the seller will make arrangements to refund the cost of the goods within 30 days.
